Solomon Bates, a pitcher who was as of late in the Giants association, said in an Instagram post Tuesday that he is gay.

Bates had showed up in 25 games in the Giants' framework this season, for the most part with the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels and as of late as Friday.
